Endangered along the Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts, the sea daffodil suffers from habitat loss, coastal development, and overcollection, pressures that have made it a protected species in many regions. This small monochromatic drawing in watercolor and ink, rendered in red tones on handmade paper, belongs to a series situated at the boundary between realism and surrealism. Through a poetic and symbolic approach, it reflects on the silent disappearance of marine life in the Anthropocene: species erased by human activity, fading oceanic narratives, and the fragile cultural memories tied to the sea. .
