Original artwork description

Music is the element suggested in this painting, yet absent; it is the viewer who must imagine it, provide it. A blend of the wild and the civilized world, of comforts and the promise of a distant, happy horizon. The protagonist is a tiger, who seems unwilling to move until he finishes his cup of tea. A tray laden with fruit also invites one to linger. But women, like the song of sirens, beckon us to follow the music and find true happiness.
